Subway Has Just Launched 10 Exciting New Items—But with a Catch

Subway has always been known for its variety of sandwiches, wraps, and salads, so it’s always exciting when the chain updates its menu with new options. This time, Subway fans are in for a real treat with the introduction of not just one, but 10 new items. The fast-food giant has launched a range of exciting additions, including a brand-new side, ciabatta breakfast sandwiches, and a series of “Snackwiches,” which are smaller sandwiches designed to satisfy those midday cravings.

However, there’s a catch—these new items are only available in Subway’s Canadian locations for now, leaving fans in the U.S. to hope that the fresh lineup will eventually cross the border.

Starting September 3, Subway customers in Canada can indulge in these new menu items. The most appealing aspect of the new launch is the focus on affordability. For example, the ciabatta breakfast sandwiches start at just $3, while the Snackwiches are priced at $4. This ensures that Subway fans in Canada can enjoy freshly made meals throughout the day without worrying about breaking the bank.

According to Lisa Mazurkewich, Subway Canada’s head of marketing, the chain aims to provide great value without compromising taste, which is a major factor behind the excitement surrounding these new additions.

The breakfast sandwiches come in five varieties, offering something for everyone. Customers can choose from Sausage and Cheese, Egg and Cheese, Bacon and Egg, Sausage and Egg, and Ham and Egg. To top it off, customers can personalize their sandwiches with a variety of sauces and veggies to suit their preferences. It’s clear that Subway Canada is focusing on versatility, giving customers plenty of room to customize their breakfast and start their day just the way they like it.

Meanwhile, the new Snackwiches are also served on ciabatta bread and come in four mouth-watering options. The Turkey Ranch Snackwich is packed with turkey, cheddar cheese, spinach, tomatoes, and peppercorn ranch, totaling 350 calories. The Honey Mustard Ham Snackwich, which contains ham, cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and chipotle sauce, comes in at 320 calories.

If you’re craving something classic, the BLT Snackwich, featuring bacon, cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo, might be your go-to with 400 calories. For cheese lovers, the Three Cheese Snackwich offers a medley of cheddar and shredded cheese, all for 350 calories.

In addition to the sandwiches, Subway has introduced a new side dish—Potato Rings. These crispy hash browns come in a fun, circular shape and are priced at just $2, making them the most affordable new item on the menu. With only 150 calories per serving, the Potato Rings are a tasty, light snack that pairs well with any of the new sandwiches.

While these exciting new options are currently only available in Canada, Subway hasn’t left its American customers completely in the dark. The chain recently launched a promotion in the U.S., offering footlong sandwiches for just $6.99 through September 8. This promotion applies to both custom-made subs and those from the chef-curated “Subway Series” lineup. To take advantage of the offer, customers simply need to use the code 699FL when placing orders through the Subway app or website.

For now, fans in the U.S. will have to wait and see if these new offerings will make their way across the border. In the meantime, Canadian Subway lovers can enjoy a fresh selection of affordable and delicious meals that offer variety, taste, and value all in one.
