Sonic Has a New Drink On Menus and We Tried It First

It is now truly fall, and it is possible that Sonic Drive-In has just released the most frightening of all the beverages the spooky season has to offer. The fast food company that is famous for its carhops, crispy tots, and unbelievable bargains has introduced a new drink that is both entrancing and delicious. It is the Halloween-themed beverage that we have been anticipating throughout this season.

Sonic’s Introduces New Witch’s Brew Slush Float

In addition to being made with slush that has a green apple flavor and salted caramel bubbles, the new Sonic Witch’s Brew Slush Float is topped with creamy soft-serve and even more salted caramel bubbles, which gives it an additional burst of flavor that is similar to that of boba. It is the ideal pick-me-up for everyone who enjoys the Halloween season, as the drink, which is green and vibrant, exudes a significant amount of witchy sensations.

According to Mackenzie Gibson, Vice President of Culinary and Menu Innovation at Sonic Drive-In, the new beverage option is a “twist on a caramel apple” that is “sure to become a seasonal favorite.” Gibson expressed her excitement about the new beverage product.

From Gibson’s perspective, “This hauntingly good creation not only captures the essence of Halloween, but it also delivers a deliciously fun experience that is truly one-of-a-kind.”

The price of this brand-new Sonic beverage begins at $3.99 for a medium-sized sipper, which is the starting price. Additionally, because Sonic gives a part of all drink sales to its Sonic Limeades for Learning project (which helps support public education), you may feel as like you are offering an additional pleasure to children this fall simply by purchasing the vividly colored slush.

While the Witch’s Brew Slush Float will not be officially available on Sonic menus until September 30th, it is already accessible for customers who are placing orders through the Sonic app. I had the opportunity to try the beverage early on, and here is my evaluation of it.

My Review of the Sonic’s Witch’s Brew Slush Float

Being the type of person who would never pass up the opportunity to sample a new beverage with a fall-themed theme, I went to the Sonic near me to sample the Witch’s Brew Slush Float for myself. I was able to add the beverage to a mobile order and pick it up in a drive-up lane since it was available in the Sonic app for early ordering, as was promised.

What is the verdict? The frightening Witch’s Brew has a lot of delectable ingredients. Although the green apple-flavored slush is too sweet on its own, when combined with the creamy soft-serve and the exploding salted caramel bubbles in the form of boba, each mouthful was a delightfully delicious treat that was perfect for the fall season.

Despite the fact that my slush was delivered with both a straw and a spoon, I found myself on Team Spoon. This was because the spoon was the best technique to combine the appropriate proportion of green slush, vanilla soft-serve, and caramel boba in a single mouthful.

This is not the first time that Sonic has introduced distinctive new menu items that are only available for a limited period. The restaurant introduced a Blackout Slush Float with a space-themed design in order to commemorate the complete solar eclipse that will occur in North America in 2024. In addition, earlier this year, the company introduced a unique burger and milkshake that had the well-known flavors of peanut butter and bacon.

If you are searching for some frightening beverages that you can create at home, you can always try out Witch’s Brew Punch or Halloween Jell-O Shots. However, if you do not live in close proximity to a Sonic, you may also check out these cocktails. In addition, a great number of fast food and coffee companies are likely to launch their very own Halloween delights throughout this season, just as they have done in past years.

However, if the Witch’s Brew’s green coloration and frightening sweetness are appealing to you, you should act quickly since this limited-time Sonic menu item will be removed from the selection after November 3rd.
