Easiest Focaccia Recipe

It is very simple, quick, and inexpensive. Ideal for sandwiches and snacks of all kinds. If you prefer, you can adjust the amount of salt or olive oil that you use.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
  • ⅓ cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Directions:

  1. Put the yeast and sugar into a small bowl and dissolve them in the warm water. Give it about ten minutes to stand until it becomes creamy.
  2. Put the yeast mixture and flour into a large bowl and stir them together until they are completely combined. To ensure that all of the flour is absorbed, gradually add additional water, one tablespoon at a time, while stirring. After the dough has come together, turn it out onto a surface that has been lightly dusted with flour and knead it for a few minutes, approximately one minute.
  3. Place the dough in a large bowl that has been lightly oiled, and then turn it over so that it is coated with oil. Allow the dough to rise in a warm place until it has doubled in volume, which should take about half an hour. Cover with a damp cloth.
  4. Heat the oven to 475 degrees Fahrenheit (245 degrees Celsius).
  5. Deflate the dough and place it on a surface that has been lightly dusted with flour. Knead it for a few seconds. Take the dough and pat or roll it into a sheet, then place it on a baking sheet that has been lightly greased. Salt should be sprinkled on top of the dough after it has been baked.
  6. To achieve the desired level of crispiness, bake focaccia in an oven that has been preheated for ten to twenty minutes. In order to achieve the desired texture of moist and fluffy, you will need to wait approximately ten minutes. It is possible that you will need to wait twenty minutes if you prefer the exterior to be more crispier and darker.
