Arby's Insiders Reveal the Departure of Key New Menu Items

Arby’s was able to distinguish itself from many of its fast food competitors over the most of its sixty-year history by focusing on roast beef sandwiches rather than cheeseburgers as its core offering. According to new reports, the giant sandwich firm has, for the first time in its history, made burgers a permanent feature of its menu.

Despite the fact that the fast-food powerhouse Arby’s had only been in business since 1964, it did not release its first burger until 2022. The limited-edition burgers were made using a blend of ordinary ground beef and high-quality Wagyu steak. They were made sous vide and then reheated in Arby’s deep fryers. The unique product was so popular that Arby’s ran out of burgers in two weeks.

They then brought them back only a few times, in November 2022, May 2023, and November 2023. The burgers sold out in under two weeks.

In May 2024, Arby’s started serving burgers on its menus; however, it appeared that Wagyu beef had been deleted from the list of ingredients. According to recent rumors, Arby’s will continue to serve hamburgers for the foreseeable future.

Burgers are no longer a limited-time product at the firm, according to an article published by the fast-food news website Brand Eating in early 2018. Furthermore, an insider at Arby’s, most likely an employee, said on Reddit early this year that the company is “getting a permanent burger option” that differs from the first Wagyu version.

Despite the fact that an Arby’s spokeswoman did not immediately respond to our inquiries about the reports, the front page of the chain’s website now indicates that burgers “are here to stay.” Customers have the option of selecting from three different burgers: the Deluxe Burger, which has 596 calories, the Big Cheesy Bacon Burger, which has 706 calories, and the new BBQ Bacon Burger, which has 711 calories and is served on a toasted brioche bun. It has bacon, crunchy onions, American cheese, pickles, and smoky barbecue sauce.

Burgers cost between $6.49 and $8.49 at my closest Arby’s, which is in the heart of New Jersey; however, pricing may vary by region. Customers may also get the Arby’s Deluxe Burger with their Tailgate Meal. This meal includes a drink, a dessert turnover, and either crinkle fries (530 calories) or curly fries (550 calories), depending on personal choice. Lunch costs $13.98 at the nearest Arby’s to me.

The news about the burger isn’t the only exciting thing that Arby’s consumers have heard about recently. At the beginning of this month, the firm introduced a new Double the Meats Meal that has the capacity to satisfy even the most insatiable appetites.

The $7 meal includes a medium order of fries, a medium drink, and the customer’s choice of a Double Roast Beef sandwich (510 calories) or a Double Beef ‘N Cheddar sandwich (630 calories). It is offered at participating locations around the country.
