There are two different chicken burger products that are being recalled as a result of an announcement that was made by the Food Safety and Inspection Service of the United States Department of Agriculture. Trader Joe’s is the retailer that carries one of these products. Following the receipt of reports indicating the presence of extraneous materials, more specifically bone fragments, in the chicken products, the recall was initiated.
The two products are the cardboard packages that weigh one pound each and contain four chili lime chicken burgers, and the bags that weigh nine pounds each and contain seventy-two spinach lettuce chicken sliders. Both of these pieces of merchandise are available for purchase. Innovative Solutions, Inc., which has its headquarters in Kent, Washington, is the business that is in charge of the production of both of these items.
As a direct consequence of this incident, Innovative Solutions has decided to recall approximately 97,887 pounds of raw chicken patty products. Trader Joe’s is only recalling chili lime burgers; no other products from the retailer are being called back. The only items that are being recalled are the chili lime burgers.
Despite the fact that there have been no reports of accidents or illnesses associated with these products, consumers are being strongly advised not to consume these recalled products if they have the burgers stored in their refrigerators or freezers. This is the case even though there have been no deaths or illnesses associated with these products.
A comprehensive list of the specific lot codes and labels that are available to the public is included in the announcement that was made by the USDA. In light of the fact that the chicken patty products were manufactured between the dates of August 16, 2021 and September 29, 2021, it is of the utmost importance that you check your kitchen for any of these items.
This problem was investigated and fixed after a number of customers voiced their dissatisfaction with the fact that their chicken patties contained bones. You should get rid of the chili lime burgers or the spinach feta chicken sliders that were manufactured by Innovative Solutions, Inc. as soon as possible without eating them.
If you happen to have either of these items in your home, you should immediately get rid of them. Should you wish to receive a full refund, you have the option of returning them to the store where you originally purchased them.
During the hours of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) Monday through Friday, consumers who have concerns about the safety of food can contact the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline by dialing 1-888-MPHotline (1-888-674-6854) or by using the Ask USDA live chat feature. Both of these options are available within the United States Department of Agriculture.
